Business Coach Melbourne

For Melbourne Business Owners Ready to Grow Past the Stage Where the Whole Thing Runs On Them

Sean Soole is a business coach for Melbourne business owners running companies between $750k and $50M in turnover. Professional services firms in the CBD and inner east, trades and manufacturers across the southeast, hospitality and retail operators through Fitzroy and South Yarra, and the growing tech and creative businesses in Cremorne and Richmond. If you’ve built a good business but you’re the one still holding the whole thing together, still making every senior decision yourself, still working every night to keep on top of it, Sean’s mentoring program is built for the stage you’re at.

Where Most Melbourne Owners Hit Their Ceiling

Most owners we talk to in Melbourne aren’t struggling because the business isn’t working. They’re worn out because it is. The revenue’s there, the team’s grown, and on paper the last few years look great. It’s just that everything still runs through them, and they can feel it getting heavier the bigger the company gets.

There’s usually a version of the same story sitting underneath it. Margins have quietly slipped while everyone’s been focused on volume, or a senior person left last year and the client relationships they held came straight back to the owner. Melbourne’s a hard market to hold onto good people in right now, so replacing them takes longer and costs more than it used to. And somewhere in the middle of all that, the owner stopped being the person building the company and became the person holding it together.

Working through this stage isn’t really about working harder. Most owners at this point are already flat out. It’s about the business being able to stand up without them at every touchpoint, which means clearer numbers, a team that can carry more of the load, and the owner spending most of their week on the stuff only they can actually do. That’s usually where a good business coach starts earning their fee.

Hey, it’s Sean here and I’m in Melbourne this week for our two-day Business Freedom Summit, and we’re going to be talking about “stuck to freedom,” which is what we’re covering over the next two days.

How to get business owners moved from being stuck in their businesses to creating what we term a freedom business, which obviously gives you more freedom and choice in life as well.

So today we’re going through what we call our brick wall exercise, helping people identify the gaps in their businesses so that they can plug those gaps and help the business grow and move forward.

It’s going to be working on a mission and a base camp strategy, as well as an execution framework to help people know which mountain they’re climbing and how they’re actually going to get up that mountain as well.

So we’re going to get stuck in today. Tomorrow’s going to be focusing on financials and other things, but I’ll check in later on and let you know how it goes. We’re really excited to get stuck in for today and support Melbourne business owners.

It’s the first time I’ve been in Melbourne for a few years. It is my hometown, I was born here, and yeah, looking forward to supporting all the business owners in the room today.

What Melbourne Business Owners Are Saying

  • Business Freedom Summit – 10-11 June 2026 – The Victoria Hotel

Who This Is For

Sean’s coaching is built for established Melbourne business owners typically turning over $750k or more, with a team already in place, and an owner who’s ready to step out of the day-to-day and into the role of running the company properly.

If you’re still a sole operator or you’re early in the business, this isn’t the right fit yet. The free resources in Sean’s content library will help get you closer to the stage where coaching starts to make sense.

How to Get Started

The first step is a no-pressure conversation with one of Sean’s team. You apply online, book in a time that works around your week, and have an honest chat about where the business is right now and whether coaching is the right move for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Sean based in Melbourne?

Sean and his team are based on the Sunshine Coast, but Inner Circle members are spread across every capital city in Australia and plenty of regional areas as well. A significant portion of the membership is Melbourne-based, and Sean runs regular events in the city across the year.

If we’re not in the same city, how does the coaching actually work?

Almost all one-on-one coaching happens over video call, which most members find works better than in-person because it fits around whatever else is happening that week. The in-person side comes through quarterly Inner Circle events, which include Melbourne dates each year, and through Melbourne members catching up between events. Between all of that, most Melbourne members see Sean and the team face-to-face several times a year.

How well does Sean understand the Melbourne market?

Sean and his team have coached hundreds of business owners across every capital city in Australia, with a large group of them Melbourne-based. Business fundamentals like pricing, leadership, team structure, financial management, and growth strategy work the same way across cities. Where local context matters, the coaching is a two-way conversation. You bring your read of the Melbourne market and Sean’s team brings the business skills to turn that read into a plan.

Can I meet other Melbourne business owners in the program?

Yes, and it’s one of the parts of Inner Circle members value most. Quarterly events bring the whole membership together, and Melbourne members often stay connected between events through informal catch-ups. For a lot of members, it becomes one of the most useful business networks they’re part of.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on the level of mentoring and support that suits where the business is right now. Sean’s team walks you through the numbers on your first call once the fit is confirmed. Compared to what most established businesses quietly lose each year in tight margins, missed opportunities, and time the owner will never get back, Inner Circle is one of the most cost-effective moves an owner can make.
